H&M Oktoberfest

Sept. 26th was the 18th Annual H&M Oktoberfest.
This year was my second time entering a beer for the competition, and I had a great tactic up my sleeve; cater towards the crowd. That in mind I submitted a Belgian White Wheat dubbed Blue Saturn.
Dropping the beer off the night before I learned that Potzler wasn't entering his Hefe this year so I was reasonably confident that I would place. Once I started tasting beer though I just wasn't sure, there were a lot of good beers there including 2 other wheat styles.
I became even more nervous when they announce the 4th, 3rd, and 2nd place winners. Then came the announcement for 1st place. "This year first came out of the Blue", Potzler announce and I think my heart stoppe for a split second and my jaw dropped as I turned to look at Paula. The 1st place winner was my very own Blue Saturn!!!!

you did great, I too was wondering if you might place and hoped for the best , but as the awards went out I wasn't sure. Then you took 1st Place -- What an honor.

Now what type of beer should we commission you for our next family gathering?????

a couple styles that I would like to brew soon/next: Honey Wheat, Wheat Stout, DunkleWeizen, and of course I'm always up for a good red or amber.
Any of those strike your fancy?
