Oh wait, what is that I hear?
Hurray Hurray, it's raining out!
Maybe its because Paula and I washed our cars yesterday (Saturday). It tried to rain some on Sat night but kinda missed (unfortunatly). But tonight it's pouring very nicely! Luckily my car is under shelter and Paula's is in the garage, so I guess you'll have to come another night rain ;-).
Unfortunatly thought the lighting is mostly far south and a little bit on the north end. Can't reall watch most of it and can't hear any of it. Although I was outside just a few minutes ago, and did catch a very high in the sky arc right above us. Pretty nice, I can't wait untill some big storms move our way.

Ack, a post with no fries.
Ok Ok I'll post something, it just I've been busy.
Two things:
This last Monday I helped Gabe and Eva move into their new house down in Tucson. It's a really nice house especially compaired to the other houses around that location. They were lucky and got one that had just been remodeled. Man though moving them was a pain and a hot day and a half. It was only the three of of so suffice to say that Gabe an I did most of the heavy lifting. and I think the temperature was up to about 105 by 10 in the morning and it only got hotter. I was dripping in sweat there wasn't a dry spot on my shirt. But we managed to get all of their stuff in and down to Tucson, and then unpacked again before we went over to my parents house for dinner (Thanks Again!).
Then Tuesday when I got back to Tempe there was a message from a guy at Orbital wanting to talk to me about jobs!!! YEA! I got a hold of him on Wed morning and did a phone intervew and hopefully he will call me back in about a week for a face to face interview. We're praying for it, I would really really like a new job!

Stuck in the Lava Tubes
Ok so it was Monday, a holiday, and it was getting jut a bit too hot. So of course a day trip up to Flag was in order. It would be Gabe, Eva, Pam, Marc, Paula, and Myself. First we thought we could visit some ice caves that are up near Sunset Crater, but after some research we found out that they were now closed to the public (major bummer). So instead we decided to goto this Lava Tube that Pam had been to once before. So a Lava Tube that sounds interesting right. Aparently a long long time ago right up in Flag some Lava errupted towards the surface, cooling on the edges as it rose creating a tube, and exploding at the surface. Leaving us with a nice cave like Tube that only has one fork, that rejoins with itself. This is really cool infact, it is nearly 1 mile long, with the warmest spot being about 42 degrees and the coldest spot being about 35 degrees (even in the summer). This was a much different cave than the peppersauce caves. For the most part we were able to stand up while we walked along, having a ceiling of about 30ft. Most of it looked kinda like a subway tunnel. There were a few parts where the cieling came down to maybe 4 ft but they weren't for very long.
So we walked along this tube having fun and taking pictures, then once we reached the end there was this little section you could crawl in. You really had to be on your belly to get into this hole that probably only fit 2-3 people, so of course we stuffed 5 of us in there (Eva declined the offer to join us ;-) ) Yea it was really fun, and an excelent way to get outta some heat for the day. Anyone wanna go the next time?

Paradise
So lovely Carlsbad.
For those of you who have been you know what kind of paradise I'm talking about. Heck if you've been to the beach at all you can probably imagine spending a week on the beach, yea awesome time. This is a yearly trip for us, but there was a special ingrediant this time, Paula. Yessiree my girlfriend was able to come with me, and that made the trip all so much better. All week long hanging out in the sun with Family and Friends, playing in the ocean, playing in the sand, walks along the beach.
If you didn't know Paula is quite the, um, duck. So as soon as she woke up every morning it was straight into her swimsuit. Sunday night was Casino night, so we were able to furthur teach Paula the art of craps, and we ended up winning some chocolates out of it too. On one of the days me and Paula got burried together in the sand. We dug a big hole too, this was no laying down with a small layer of sand on us, we were deep. And once the sand was on top of us it was kinda heavy, made it very interesting to get out too. Oh yea also on Sunday it was my official birthday! so of course we had cake and presents. Paula also got some cool presents from my Mom. Then some other day was all you can eat sushi. Now of course I think sushi is digusting, but the rest of them seemed to like it a lot. And I did show up in time to by Paula and I some Saki Bombers (and my Dad snitched some) ;-)
Then Paula's birthday on Friday! I took her sailing. Nope not on some punny little boat either, that just wouldn't do, on a nice 39 footer. It was a two hour sailboat ride around Oceanside. Both Paula and I got to steer a bunch, and we saw some sea lions. We also helped asist in the rescue of another motor boat that had lost it's engine and electrical power. Fun stuff I tell you what.
The whole week was absolutly amazing, and i keep telling Paula that she will have to go back with us in two year when we get the Fourth of July again, because of course we put on our own show of fireworks!
Unfortunatly though my vacation is over for now. I'm back in hot ole Arizonie, and have to go back to work tomorrow.
Oh well I'll get a new job soon. . .

Catsup
Man O Man, it's time for a little catching up.
So you already know that Marc had his Birthday at Rock Bottom right, well so I had a small party at my complex out by the pool. This was on Friday the night before we left for california. Gabe was able to come nice and early so with him Marc, Paula, Pam and myself we played some volleyball, and lit up the BBQ. Drinking some beer, eating steaks, playing some volleyball, and going swimming how terrifically fun! Whats better we did all of that before the sun went down. Then Norm, Tikki, Dug, Heath, Heaths new girlie friend Mandy, Grant, and Eva came by to have fun too! We all hung out and played, and did some more swimming. And even with all this fun we were able to get to bed at a reasonable hour.
The best part though, this wasn't the extent of my birthday celebrations!!! Paula o dear sweet Paula woke me up on the thursday before, around 6am (she was on her way to work). First I opened my new waffle iron! and we got waffles for breakfast. Then I had to put together a puzzle to decide what I would we doing for the rest of our date that night! I chose Horseback riding, Rigga Tony's, and Cheesecake Factory. All very great things to do on a date. We also did a random thing and made oatmeal cookies to take to California....
